Prepared for publication on akunoshi.com. This document is designed to work with project-specific proposals, statements of work, invoices, and any signed service agreement.

This Cancellation Policy explains how orders, bookings, recurring services, subscriptions, support arrangements, and project engagements with AKUNOSHI LTD may be cancelled. It should be read together with our Terms of Service, Refund Policy, and any proposal, order form, statement of work, or signed agreement that applies to a specific engagement.

Nothing in this Policy removes any mandatory legal rights that a customer may have under applicable law.

1. How to cancel

Cancellation requests should be sent in writing to billing@akunoshi.com. To avoid misunderstandings, please include your full name, company name if applicable, contact details, invoice or order reference, the service or project being cancelled, and the date on which you want the cancellation to take effect.

A cancellation is only effective when confirmed by Akunoshi in writing or when otherwise clearly acknowledged by our records. Submitting a request does not by itself guarantee a refund.

2. Before work starts

If you cancel before Akunoshi has started work, reserved capacity, incurred external costs, or undertaken meaningful preparation, Akunoshi may cancel the order with limited or no charge depending on the circumstances. However, booking fees, deposits, reservation charges, or administrative fees may still be retained where allowed by the contract or applicable law.

3. After work starts

If you cancel after work has started, you remain responsible for payment for all work performed up to the cancellation date, any committed third-party costs, and any reserved time or resources that could not reasonably be reallocated. Akunoshi may invoice for work in progress, completed milestones, preparation time, and cancellation-related administrative effort where appropriate.

Where a project is paused by you for an extended period without clear instructions, Akunoshi may treat the engagement as cancelled or may require a restart fee, re-scoping, or updated scheduling before resuming work.

4. Scheduled calls, consulting and booked sessions

Booked calls, consultations, technical sessions, and similar appointments should be cancelled as early as possible. Where adequate notice is given and no material preparation has taken place, Akunoshi may offer a reschedule. Late cancellations, missed appointments, or repeated rescheduling may be treated as billable time.

5. Fixed-scope projects and milestones

For fixed-scope or milestone-based projects, cancellation usually stops future work rather than reversing work already completed or started. Each completed milestone, accepted deliverable, or commenced sprint may be separately chargeable. Akunoshi may also retain rights in pre-existing tools, frameworks, draft concepts, and other non-transferred materials until all outstanding amounts are paid.

6. Recurring services, retainers and subscriptions

Recurring services such as maintenance plans, retainers, hosting, support plans, or subscription-style arrangements may be cancelled before the next renewal date to stop future billing. Unless a written agreement states otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and does not usually result in a partial refund for the period already started.

If a service has a minimum commitment period, cancellation before the end of that period may remain subject to the agreed minimum fees or early termination charges where lawful and clearly agreed.

7. Consumer cancellation rights

If you are a consumer and the contract was concluded at a distance or off-premises, you may in some cases have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of the contract being made. That right may be reduced or lost if you expressly ask us to begin the service during that period and the service is fully performed, or if digital content begins to be supplied immediately with the required acknowledgements. If you cancel after asking us to begin early, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for what has already been supplied, as permitted by law.

8. Effect of cancellation

On cancellation, Akunoshi may stop work, revoke access, unshare repositories or environments, disable hosted features, remove users, or schedule offboarding, subject to any legal obligations and subject to payment of outstanding amounts. Akunoshi may retain project records, communications, invoices, and compliance-related data as described in the Privacy Policy and as needed for legal or operational reasons.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you are responsible for exporting your own data, content, and materials before hosted access ends. Akunoshi is not obliged to continue hosting, storing, or maintaining cancelled services beyond any agreed transition period.

9. Akunoshi cancellation or suspension

Akunoshi may suspend or cancel services where necessary for non-payment, fraud prevention, legal compliance, security concerns, abusive behaviour, materially unlawful instructions, repeated failure to cooperate, insolvency risk, or any other serious issue that makes continued performance unsafe, unlawful, or commercially impracticable.

Where appropriate, Akunoshi may first offer a reasonable opportunity to cure the issue, but it is not required to do so in every case.

10. Related refunds

Any refund following cancellation is determined under the applicable contract and our Refund Policy. Cancellation and refund are not the same: cancelling a service may stop future work or future billing without creating a right to repayment for work already performed or time already reserved.

11. Changes to booked dates

A request to change a start date, milestone date, support window, or call time may be treated as a reschedule rather than a cancellation if Akunoshi agrees in writing. Date changes requested at short notice may require revised pricing, rebooking fees, or a new delivery timeline.

12. Contact

Cancellation requests should be sent to billing@akunoshi.com. General contractual questions may be sent to info@akunoshi.com and sales questions to sales@akunoshi.com.
